Addi held a special place in the hearts of all she met but none so large as the spot she held within the hearts of her Fire Family.  Addi's indomitable spirit was like no other and will be carried with them each and every time they are called out, every fire training, and every time they see her Engine 2. The Essex Firefighter's Association is a non-profit organization supporting the members of Essex Fire Department and  various community support projects. Municipal support is not enough. Your donations are needed will help keep Addi's fire family and our communities safe and well cared for.

Addi suffered

critical blood and bone marrow disorders in addition to many other serious medical issues.  Many times, the gift of blood brought her back to continue inspiring us.  We are so thankful for this gift of life and would  like others to have the same chance. Please give blood, money, volunteer or host a drive for the American Red Cross now!

Angel Flight Northeast coordinated more than 250 trips for Addi and our family during the last 3 years of her life to access critical life-saving medical care.  Everyone associated with Angel Flight gave us so much peace and comfort. We have no doubt that their support added so many days to her life as well as wonderful memories.

For too many years, we sought a diagnosis...a cure...denying Addi the Wish she deserved because we hoped to find a way that she wouldn't qualify for one.  Her live wish granting received 38,000 views and we felt a community rise around us and rejuvenate us in a way we didn't know was possible.  She also called  Wish Day the day "I met my fire family." The pool gave us  treasured memories and time together and it brang her peace, comfort and recovery.

Addi spent nearly a quarter of her life receiving the best possible medical care at Boston Children's Hospital. They never gave up and are still fiercely pursuing answers.

Since 1990, The Inn has served more than 14,500 families - including Addi's. There is no cost for families to stay at The Inn while children and young adults living with rare diseases participate in research studies at the NIH. The Inn  also provides meals as well as recreational, therapeutic and educational activities.

The repercussions of a lengthy, serious health battle are tremendous - emotionally and financially. Your contribution will enable Addi's family to pay Addi's medical debt and support her siblings (Sam & Izzy). Funds will also be used in our pursuit to honor Addi’s life in meaningful ways including spreading her inspirational story.
